Information about travelling to Paros and our recommendations on where to stay.
How to get there
-
By Plane
If you're flying in, you will first fly to Athens International Airport (ATH) and from there to Paros (PAS). It’s a well-connected island, so same-day arrivals are usually possible.
Another option is to fly to Mykonos International Airport (JMK) and take the ferry from there to Paros.
-
By Ferry
You can also get the ferry from the main port of Athens (Pireaus) to Paros. We recommend booking tickets well in advance as this is a popular long weekend in Greece, marking the start of the summer season.
We're big fans of the app Ferryhopper for all tickets as it's simple to use and will have the tickets ready for inspection without any fuss such as printing. -
Rent A Car
Once on the island, you'll need a mode of transport to get around.
Bringing your own or renting a car, offers the most flexibility in getting around. We recommend the below Rent a Car agents, mentioning our wedding:
Dora Louki: +306978010678
Giannis Pantelaios: +306971770390
Nikos Xylaras: +306979900303 -
Use Taxi or Bus
There are also a few taxis available, with our favourites being:
Mr. Nikos: +306981217070
Maistros Transfers: +306972710522A local Bus service connects almost all major parts of the island. The schedule can be found here: https://ktelparou.gr/bus-schedules.html
We’ll be staying in the Southeastern part of Paros, around Dryos village and Golden Beach.
Where to stay
Our list includes hotels at convenient locations across different price points, so hopefully you can find something that works for you. Multiple accommodations have early booking offers or discounts; give them a call or email them mentioning our wedding! Of course, there are Airbnb's and villas around if you prefer.

Golden Beach, as the name suggests, is a long sandy beach, with fine golden-coloured sand: a staple feature of the Cycladic islands that Paros belongs to. Our Wedding Party will be right on that beach, so imagine only having to walk along the beachfront to go home after a night of partying. Convinced?
